Patients are referred to us by several routes:

General Practitioner referral: for 'non-urgent' conditions such as gallstones and hernias. Such referrals may come through the 'Choose and Book' system.

'Two week wait' urgent referral: when a GP is very concerned about the patient's symptoms.

Consultant referral: when a patient has had tests in one of the hospitals in Devon and Cornwall and has been found to have one of the HPB cancers or benign conditions that we treat.

Following referral, we shall usually send you an appointment for a consultation in one of our out-patient clinics.
